The President’s Message
Dear LACA Family,
When
I
told
our
founder,
Lillian
“Lil”
Trillo,
that
I
was
voted
unanimously
to
be
the
new
LACA
President,
Board
of
Directors,
she
recounted
the
creation
of
LACA,
"The
Lord
gave
me
a
match
and told me to light the fuse. Then LACA took off like a rocket!"
We are keeping the rocket flying! With your help last year we were able to accomplish so many
wonderful things for the poor in Latin America.
In
Mexico
we
purchased

Infusion

the

Thank
you
to
Fr.
Miguel
and
our
then-
President, Jesse Canchola, for coordinating that.

We
could

help
with

we
could
use
some
help
keeping
the

updated
with

and
stories,
because
I
certainly
don’t
know
how
to
do
that.
If
YOU
can’t
directly help - I am sure you know someone who can, please ask them!
Thank you and Bless you for your support of LACA

The Founder’s Message
LACA’s mission, since the very beginning, has always been focused toward the poorest of the
poor. Initially, we began our efforts in Honduras, the most poverty-stricken country of Latin
America. Later we spread to six other countries: Haiti, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Mexico,
Guatemala, and Panama. During my term as founder and board president, we financed 35
water systems; funded homes for the poor; educated promising, poor youngsters; and took
medical teams to the medically under served. LACA also supported an empowerment of
women program in Panama and funded a daycare center in the poor area of Ciudad Delgado
in El Salvador.
My vision is that LACA continues to focus its efforts on the poorest and less fortunate of Latin
America.
Yours,
Lillian R. Trillo, Founder and President Emerita
